The Unique Holistic Montessori Education

As an educator one is always looking for better ways to help educate children. Montessori education provides a different approach from that normally found within the classroom structure. In a Montessori class the students learn primarily through their senses, using hands on materials, especially designed to aid development.

The classroom is prepared carefully so that the children are able to choose the activities which are most interesting to them. Each activity also incorporates a control of error, so rather than the teacher correcting the child, the child is able to learn by her own mistakes and is then able to correct her own work.

This holistic education also allows the students to learn at their own rate. Because this approach is unusual it requires that the teachers within the class be trained in quite a different way.
